“Desert Man” Goes on Stage
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA); the play “Desert Man,” co-written by Shahrooz Iri and Asghar Garousi, directed by Shahrooz Iri, and in collaboration with Golestan Province Art Center and Sooreh Theater Club, adapted from the novel “Mati Khan” by Abdolrahman Onaq, will go on stage in Tehran from the second half of Azar.
This work narrates the resistance and courage of the Turkmens against the oppression and despotism of Reza Khan’s government and depicts Turkmen culture on stage.
Mohammad Reza Moloudi, Roohollah Mojallali, Asal Latif, Mehdi Eftekhari Far, Mehrshad Mehrpouyan, Matin Khozeini, Gunashkhojeh, Elnaz Nafaspour, Roohollah (Rahi) Saeiri, Baran Salehi, Maral Kord, Abolfazl Paknia, Hadieh Chaparli are the main actors of this play, and Somayeh Azari, Fatima Jahantigh, Shadi Shahriari, Sarina Amini Amjad, Mobina Pourghaz form the group of performance actors for “Desert Man.”
“Desert Man” was previously staged in Golestan Province to widespread public acclaim and is scheduled to be performed at Mehr Art Center Theater in Tehran from mid-Azar.
