Puppet Play ‘Nazdoone Anardone’ Published in Bandar Abbas
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, ‘Nazdoone Anardone’ is the sixth written work by Hanieh Hadinezhad, an author from Bandar Abbas, and the first book by Chiko Publications printed and published in Hormozgan.
This play, capable of stage and puppet performances, creates space for directors’ ideation. It is written by Hanieh Hadinezhad, a writer, director of puppet shows, book promoter, poet, and publisher from Hormozgan.
The puppets in this play include: Nazdoone (a 9-year-old girl), a puppet that can be a product of the director’s imagination, a kind but depressed king father, a grumbling servant, a soldier, and the townspeople, performed in the king’s palace, city, or garden next to a white tree and flying pomegranates.
In this book, which begins with the presence of two storytellers and is based on music, after the ups and downs of the story, they eventually turn to the book for problem-solving, and it is this book that will resolve their issues.
A part of the play states: First storyteller: ‘Nazdoone would daily give an elixir of pomegranate to King Papa and then go to her room, change her clothes, and come back to her father to speak of his complexion and health… until…’ Second storyteller: ‘Until town criers announced throughout the city that anyone who is sick should come and drink the healing elixir…’ First storyteller: ‘But something bad happened! (Turning to the audience: What do you think happened?) Puppet: Oh no, we are ruined!’ Nazdoone: ‘No, no, no…. There must be a solution!’
At the ceremony honoring book reading promoters of Hormozgan in Bandar Abbas, attended by cultural officials and the book-loving community of the province, the book ‘Nazdoone Anardone’ was unveiled.
According to IBNA, the puppet play ‘Nazdoone Anardone,’ with cover illustration by Setareh Akhtarshnas, cover design by Zahra Ashouri, in pocket size, 24 pages, with a circulation of 300 copies, priced at 50,000 Tomans, was printed and released to the book market for the first time in autumn 1404 by ‘Chiko Publications’ managed by Hanieh Hadinezhad.
