Necessity of establishing a mobile library in Esfarayen / The philanthropic library of Ru’in village will be completed and equipped.
Seyyed Abbas Salehi, on the sidelines of visiting two libraries, Abolfazl Esfarayeni and the philanthropic Nikta Ghavami Library, provided explanations to IRNA reporter about the status of library infrastructures in Esfarayen County in an exclusive interview.
The Minister of Culture, in response to IRNA reporter’s question about the absence of a mobile library in Esfarayen and the serious need of the villages in this county for wider access to books, said: “I am following up on the issue of establishing a mobile library in Esfarayen so that this important cultural need can be met as soon as possible.”
Completion and Equipment of Ru’in Philanthropic Library
Continuing the interview, the book reporter referred to the 35% progress of the philanthropic library in Ru’in village, and the Minister of Culture, emphasizing the importance of benevolent participation in cultural development, promised that this library would also be a priority. “We will take action to complete and equip the philanthropic Ru’in library, and efforts will be made to fully operationalize this complex for services,” he stated.
He continued: “Philanthropic projects are valuable assets to the country’s culture and should not remain unfinished. The philanthropic Ru’in library is one such capacity whose completion is prioritized. The Ministry of Culture will cooperate in equipping this library, and we will try, with the collaboration of the Public Libraries Institution, to make this complex fully ready for operation as soon as possible.”
Salehi added: “Cultural and tourist villages like Ru’in need active cultural spaces, and equipping this library can be a turning point in providing people in this region with access to books and cultural activities.”
The visit to the two Esfarayen libraries was conducted with the aim of field assessment of resources, spaces, and library needs.
