Mohammadali Movahed, a distinguished scholar, translator, and author, delivered a message to the first national conference for the commemoration of Mirza Moheb Ali Khan, the prominent poet of Quchan, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage.

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the first national conference for the commemoration of Mirza Moheb Ali Khan was held in Quchan. Mohammadali Movahed’s message was read during this conference.

In his message, Movahed stated that Mirza Moheb Ali Khan, known as Moheb Quchani, was a significant figure in Persian literature and a poet whose works reflect the social and cultural conditions of his time. He highlighted the need to recognize and introduce such figures to the younger generation.

Movahed, known for his extensive research on figures like Rumi and his translations of philosophical texts, stressed that commemorating literary figures like Mirza Moheb Ali Khan is crucial for understanding the depth of Iranian culture and history. He mentioned his own works such as “Rumi and Dar al-Islam,” “In the Search of Oil,” and “Rumi and the Persians,” and his translation of “The Story of Philosophy,” to underscore the ongoing effort to preserve and interpret literary heritage.

He further elaborated on the challenges faced in preserving historical documents and manuscripts, urging cultural institutions and researchers to dedicate more efforts to this cause. Movahed also called for a deeper engagement with classical Persian texts and contemporary literary criticism to foster a vibrant intellectual environment.
