Specialized Workshop on ‘Text Processing in Storytelling and Story Directing’ Held in Jask

According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, coinciding with Book and Reading Week, the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Jask County hosted a specialized workshop on ‘Text Processing in Storytelling and Story Directing,’ attended by Alireza Aghaei, an instructor and judge of the International Storytelling Festival.

The head of the Jask center stated: This workshop was held during Book and Reading Week and on the eve of the 27th International Storytelling Festival, in cooperation with the Department of Education and the Central District Municipality.

Elham Ashrafi Jaski explained: Storytelling is one of the most influential educational and cultural tools, and our goal is to create a platform for the growth of creativity and communication skills among children and young adults in the county.

She added: This workshop was conducted to prepare Jask’s trainers and storytellers for their participation in the 27th International Storytelling Festival and in anticipation of the provincial stage of this festival, which will be held on December 1st (Azar 10th).

Ashrafi Jaski elaborated: During the program, Aghaei discussed creative text processing methods, effective narration techniques, and the role of storytelling in fostering children’s imagination and communication skills. The dialogue-oriented atmosphere and constructive interaction between the instructor and participants doubled the quality of the workshop’s education.

One of the special parts of this program was the storytelling by ‘Kanoonyaran’ (members/volunteers) of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, who, by performing short and creative stories, brought a special enthusiasm to the workshop and showcased some of the budding talents at the Institute.

At the end of the program, Alireza Aghaei was honored with gifts and an art board featuring the poem ‘As long as I live, you shall be my beloved,’ created by Samaneh Ashrafi Jaski, an artist and mother of ‘Tarannom Radfar,’ a book-reading member of the Jask County Center.

According to IBNA, this program was widely welcomed by trainers, parents, active members of the Institute, teachers, and the parent council of the Institute’s members. Participants benefited from Professor Aghaei’s specialized training in storytelling, text analysis and processing, public speaking, and story directing techniques.
