‘In Search of Home’ Published
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Qom, the book ‘On the Way Home’ tells the story of a Palestinian brother and sister living in a camp who miss their home. Khadra dreamt of home, and salty tears wet her innocent face. Emad, hearing his younger sister’s voice from outside the tent, comes to her and, understanding the reason for her tears, looks for a way to bring a smile back to Khadra’s lips.
The author creatively shows both the strength of small Palestinian hearts and alludes to Iran’s missile power in the story.
When Emad suggests to Khadra that they build their home with the stones around them, the author symbolically illustrates the hope and desire to return home deep within the hearts of all Palestinians.
‘In Search of Home’, with its good illustrations and indirect narrative, is an appealing option for telling the history of Palestine to children, and on the other hand, due to its good reference to Iran’s missile story, it instills good hope and security.
The children’s book ‘In Search of Home’, written by Sajedeh Karkhanei and illustrated by Leila Heidari, has been released to the market in 16 full-color pages with a price of 70,000 Tomans by Jamkaran Book Publishers.
