Birjand Book Fair Kicks Off

According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Birjand, Mahmoud Ramazani, the head of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of South Khorasan, stated on Sunday night on the sidelines of this exhibition: This exhibition started today, Aban 25th, in Birjand and will be open for two weeks.

He added, referring to the offering of about 4,500 book titles at this cultural event: The books are presented on various topics, including scientific, historical, religious, sacrifice and martyrdom, children and youth, and other fields.

Ramazani continued: The exhibition is active in two sections for book sales; some books will be available to enthusiasts with a 50 percent discount, and others with a 15 percent discount.

The head of Culture and Islamic Guidance of South Khorasan expressed hope that by holding this exhibition and offering discounts, the necessary books for the people of the province would be provided, and the ground for promoting a reading culture would be further facilitated.
