Kerman Book Fair to be Held on December 10
According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Kerman, Hossein Eshaghi stated on Monday afternoon during a press conference with media members: This year’s book fair will be held on December 10, featuring various side programs, specialized sessions, book unveiling ceremonies, and the presence of prominent national publishers.
He added: This exhibition is a valuable opportunity for cultural enthusiasts, writers, and book readers.
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman Province, referring to the upcoming programs under a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Guidance, along with provincial implementation, said: We have on our agenda the magnificent celebration of Book Week programs, a book purchase discount scheme, the book fair, the selection of the Book of the Year, the Khajoo Award Festival, a literary festival, and the commemoration of the Persian language.
Referring to Kerman province’s media potential, he stated: Kerman province is one of the media-rich provinces that generally has good capacities in this field.
Eshaghi stated: We strive to be programmatic in the field of culture and art and to proceed in accordance with superior documents and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Eshaghi, stating that they have tried to utilize artists and specialists in their programs, said: We used elites from each field for every program, and the establishment of professional associations in the fields of culture, media, and religion was also put on the agenda.
He emphasized that the main focus of the programs is returning to the people, cultural justice, and utilizing the capacities of media professionals and artists.
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman added: This year, 72 cultural, artistic, media, and educational programs have been developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, which will be implemented with a budget exceeding 45 billion Tomans. These programs cover areas such as reading, Quranic studies, education, animation, cultural luminaries, fashion, institutional empowerment, and the artists’ credit fund.
Referring to the annual Dehziar National Ta’zieh Mourning Ceremony, he stated: We plan for this ceremony to be held better, more magnificently, and with a wider scope in Ta’zieh performances across Kerman city, separate from Dehziar, in the coming years.
