Unveiling of the poster for the fifth national poetry festival ‘Entezar’
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Arak, Abbas Ahmadi, the scientific secretary of the festival, stated during this meeting: The fifth national poetry festival “Entezar” will be held in Arak concurrently with Mid-Sha’ban. This event, organized by Islamic Azad University and the Imamat and Mahdism Institute, welcomes works from interested individuals in three sections: university, student, and general.
He added: So far, more than 300 works have been sent to the festival secretariat, and the deadline for submitting works continues until January 8th. Registration and uploading of works are only possible through the Mahdism Institute website.
He explained: This year, a special section titled “Resistance and Awaiting the Reappearance” has been added to the festival, dedicated to the martyrs of the imposed war and the 12-day resistance of nuclear student martyrs. In this section, martyr Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi will be honored.
Ahmadi also noted: Last year, the festival book was unveiled, and this year, the collection of selected works will also be published during the closing ceremony, which will be held during the Sha’baniyah days. He expressed hope that the fifth edition of the “Entezar” poetry festival will lead to the creation of lasting works in the field of national religious literature, similar to previous editions, and will provide the ground for greater participation of poets through extensive media coverage, turning this festival into a valuable cultural event in the cultural ecosystem of Arak.
Following the meeting, Ali Izadi, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Markazi Province, referring to the thematic axes of the festival, said: The global government of Mahdavi, the manifestation of Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) affection, the duties of those awaiting, and the global uprising of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) are among the topics of this cultural event, which is planned with the approach of promoting the culture of Mahdism.
He added: The link between the culture of waiting (Entezar) and the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom shapes the main content of the festival. Religious poetry is one of the effective tools for transmitting religious and social concepts to the young generation, and the national poetry congress “Entezar” can be a platform for introducing new talents and strengthening the cultural movement in the country.
At the end of this meeting, the official poster of the national poetry festival “Entezar” was unveiled.
