“Frankenstein” Comes to Radio Namayesh
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), Mary Shelley’s novel “Frankenstein” was first published in 1818 and quickly became one of the enduring books in literary history.
More than 200 years have passed since the publication of this novel, and Frankenstein’s monster remains a subject of discussion in literary, cinematic, and philosophical circles.
So far, more than 30 cinematic adaptations of “Frankenstein” have been made, the latest of which was completed by Guillermo del Toro in 2025.
In the new episode of the “Posht-e Jeld” program, this novel and its cinematic adaptation will be reviewed and analyzed, and Mehrgan Rezaeian, a lecturer at the University of Tehran, will speak about the literary importance and values of the novel “Frankenstein.”
