Haiku Book photography competition to be held in Urmia
Khadijeh Masoumi told the reporter of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Urmia: Haiku is an innovative art form that was first introduced in Japan, and then, due to its beauty and wide range of applications, became prominent in various artistic and literary fields and countries.
She added: The “Haiku Book” photography competition titled “Arrange the Books So Meaning Flows” will be held.
Masoumi said: This competition is designed with the aim of promoting reading culture, strengthening artistic creativity among various segments of society, and creating a platform for interaction between books and visual arts.
Stating that the deadline for submitting works is from December 3rd to January 2nd, she said: To create a “Haiku Book,” enthusiasts must stack three or four books in a way that their titles form a creative sentence or poem.
Referring to the prizes of the photography competition, Masoumi said: The first place winner will receive 800,000 tomans, the second place winner 500,000 tomans, the third place winner 300,000 tomans, and the fourth and fifth place winners will each receive 200,000 tomans.
