Comprehensive book ‘Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law’ unveiled

According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Semnan, the unveiling ceremony for the comprehensive book “Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law” was held on Saturday morning by the efforts of the Semnan Provincial Agricultural Jihad Organization, hosted by the provincial agricultural research center located in Shahrood.

This book has been published through the efforts of the Semnan Agricultural Jihad Organization and the provincial agricultural research center with the aim of promoting technical knowledge related to soil, and its unveiling coincided with the days designated as World Soil Day, this valuable treasure of nature.

The head of the Semnan Provincial Agricultural Jihad Organization, in an interview with the IBNA correspondent in Shahrood, said about the book: Promoting specialized knowledge and strengthening the scientific literature in the field of soil is the main axis of the comprehensive book “Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law.”

Mohammadreza Ghasemi stated that the Semnan Agricultural Jihad Organization published this book, emphasizing: This book is a practical, scientific, and very important reference that can henceforth be helpful and groundbreaking for experts, researchers, academics, professors, students, environmentalists, and others.

He added that the book “Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law” was published with the aim of enriching scientific resources, stating: The technical, environmental, and legal dimensions of soil are important sections covered by this book.

The head of the Semnan Provincial Agricultural Jihad Organization said that the book also seeks to create uniformity in sustainable soil management, adding: The Water and Soil Management and Technical Engineering Affairs department of the Semnan Agricultural Jihad Organization compiled and published this book.

The Deputy Director of Water and Soil Affairs of the Semnan Agricultural Jihad Organization also stated in an interview with the IBNA correspondent in Shahrood that the main principles of this book encompass soil science, saying: The physical, chemical, and biological bases of soil are among the most fundamental topics in “Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law.”

Hossein Shahini stated that the book also addresses national and international standards and laws related to soil, adding: Upcoming challenges, including erosion, pollution, and unsustainable exploitation of soil, are other important sections of the aforementioned book, which was unveiled today in the presence of agricultural jihad sector activists, professors, researchers, and academics.

He also explained about the audience for this book: The book “Soil Knowledge, from Structure to Law” can be used as an educational and executive reference for researchers, managers, and stakeholders in the agriculture and environment sectors, and increasing specialized awareness among experts is one of the book’s most important points.
