Condolence messages written for the passing of Kamran Fani

«With deep sorrow, I offer condolences on the passing of Professor Kamran Fani; a person whose name was intertwined with “book” not just as a profession, but as a form of intellectual existence. He dedicated his blessed life to founding and supervising encyclopedias, establishing new methods of librarianship and reference writing, and translating prominent global works, thus strengthening the pillars of this land’s written culture.

Kamran Fani opened a new window to knowledge and literature by supervising reference projects such as the Encyclopedia of Shiism and the Encyclopedia for Children and Adolescents, and by translating works of authors such as Chekhov and Dostoevsky. His services will remain lasting in the minds and language of different generations who love and are interested in books.
