In the book’s preface, the author states his goal as preserving the written heritage of ancestors, preventing the forgetting of local history, and transferring the experience and knowledge of predecessors to the present generation.
The prominent sections of the book include old documents and records, biographies and accounts of Alang’s elders and influential figures, local memoirs and oral narratives, and a critique and review of Alang’s historical developments.
The book ‘Our Documents’ is one of the rare works in preserving the historical memory of western Golestan province, and it not only keeps the documents alive but also preserves narratives of the knowledge, experience, and lifestyle of our ancestors for present and future generations.
Alang is a village in the Western Sedon Rostaq Rural District, Central District, Kordkuy County, Golestan Province, located three kilometers from the Kordkuy-Gorgan road.
