Donated Library of Sekandar Amanollahi Baharvand Inaugurated

According to a reporter from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Khorramabad, the inauguration ceremony of the Sekandar Amanollahi Baharvand donated hall and library was held on Monday at Lorestan University, with his presence and a group of intellectuals, students, and people of science and literature.

Sekandar Amanollahi Baharvand had donated four thousand copies of books from his personal library to Lorestan University in Shahrivar 1404 (Persian calendar, approx. August/September 2025), and today, a hall and library named after him and his wife, Lili Bakhtiar, was inaugurated at this ceremony.

Amanollahi Baharvand explained in his speech at the ceremony that he donated his books to Lorestan University so that the young and student generation in Lorestan province can make greater use of various books, which will in turn enhance the knowledge and science of the students.

After this ceremony, he also attended the ceremony honoring top researchers of Lorestan University.

Sekandar Amanollahi Baharvand, born in 1316 (Persian calendar, approx. 1937) in Khorramabad, is a retired faculty member of Shiraz University and has authored over 30 book titles, most of which have been published in both English and Persian.

He is considered one of the national figures in the field of anthropology who has spent his life promoting science and knowledge in the country.
