Second Mobile Library of Urmia to be Inaugurated
Khadijeh Masoumi told IRNA’s book news agency (IBNA) reporter in Urmia: The second mobile public library of West Azarbaijan province will be inaugurated in Urmia city.
She added: Mobile libraries are launched with the aim of developing cultural justice and sustainable social development, benefiting people in areas far from libraries and those underserved by the enlightenment of books.
Masoumi continued: Given the scarcity of cultural and social facilities in areas far from libraries, mobile libraries are considered a groundbreaking solution for developing book-oriented cultural and social services with special and attractive capacities, especially for children and teenagers in these areas.
She stated: Mobile libraries plan to provide suitable services and access to study resources, while designing and offering services considering the ecological conditions, geographical location, and study needs of the target audience.
Masoumi explained: This library, with an initial budget of over 20 billion Rials, including vehicle provision and equipment, has reached the operational stage and will host the general public as a tool for promoting reading and cultural and economic development in areas far from libraries.
