Workshop ‘Pathology of Book Promotion Activities’ Held in Sistan and Baluchestan
According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Zahedan, the workshop ‘Pathology of Book Promotion Activities in Iran’ was held on Saturday morning, October 18, 2024 (26 Mehr 1403), at Shahid Moslem Keikha Cultural Center located on Shahid Mazari Boulevard in Zahedan.
This specialized workshop, which was warmly received by librarians, trainers, educational deputies, officials of cultural institutions, and book enthusiasts, featured Mohseni, Deputy for Economy and Culture of the Iran Book and Literature House, as the instructor.
Among the main themes of this workshop were analyses concerning the challenges and opportunities in the path of promoting reading in the country. Also, in this session, successful and diverse models of libraries worldwide were introduced to the attendees to provide a basis for cultural activists in the province to become more familiar with new methods of book promotion.
Holding such specialized workshops with the participation of prominent national figures is considered an effective step towards empowering local forces and developing the quality of cultural activities in less privileged regions.
