Unveiling of the Leader’s Commendation and Honoring Librarians / A Day for National Heroes and the Realm of Knowledge in Hormozgan
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, on the occasion of the thirty-third commemoration of the Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in order to thank and appreciate the activities of librarians and those involved in the culture and knowledge sector of the province’s public libraries, a ceremony to honor the status of books, reading, and librarians was held simultaneously nationwide, along with the unveiling of the Supreme Leader’s commendations on three books: “Lady Moon,” “Unfinished Fever,” and “Fire and Snow Traveler.”
The Director General of Public Libraries of Hormozgan stated at this ceremony: This ceremony is held with the aim of appreciating the efforts of librarians and cultural activists in the province, and simultaneously, the Supreme Leader’s commendations on three books, “Lady Moon,” “Unfinished Fever,” and “Fire and Snow Traveler,” are being unveiled.
Anoushirvan Pishdar added: “National Hero Event” is one of the prominent programs of Book Week in Hormozgan, which is held with the presence of cultural figures, writers, and librarians of the province.
Also, the Governor of Bandar Abbas, at the ceremony commemorating Book, Reading, and Librarian Day, congratulated all activists in the field of books, librarians, and cultural officials and activists on this occasion, appreciating their tireless efforts in promoting the culture of study.
Ahmad Pooyafar, referring to the irreplaceable role of books in the growth and excellence of societies, stated: Despite technological advancements, books and libraries remain the most effective tools for learning and cultural development. God has sworn by the pen and what it writes in the Holy Quran, which indicates the exalted position of books.
The head of Hormozgan Farhangian University also, referring to the importance of accurately representing the role of women in media and contemporary history, said: What is before us today are documented realities that show Iranian women have been prominent models of sacrifice, modesty, and struggle in the hardest moments of history, including the Sacred Defense.
Ali Bahramshahi stated that the enemy seeks to devalue the strengths of society, adding: A significant part of our cultural power is due to brave and struggling women who have played a role in the country’s major events, and these realities have been recorded in history through precise documentation and narratives.
He emphasized the necessity of studying books related to the lives of influential women in the Sacred Defense, adding: These works can strengthen the motivation and spirit of resistance in today’s generation.
