Do you say ‘Koroochee’ or ‘Koroocheh’ instead of ‘Crunchy’?!

According to Khabaronline News Agency, Nasrin Parvizi, the Deputy of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, stated in a video with the IRIB News Agency logo that ‘Koroochendeh’ is derived from ‘koroocheedan’ with ‘andeh’ added to it, meaning ‘something that makes a crunching sound.’ However, we know that it is somewhat lengthy and belongs to many years ago, and the Academy may reconsider it in the next one or two months and replace it with the word ‘Koroochee’ or ‘Koroocheh’.

Previously, the Food Science and Technology Group, a subgroup of the Persian Language and Literature Academy’s Word-Coining Group, had approved the words ‘Koroochendeh’ and ‘Koroochendegi’ instead of ‘Crunchy’ and ‘Crunchiness’.
