Emphasis on the Role of Leadership Endorsements in Promoting the Culture of Sacrifice and Martyrdom

As reported by Mehr correspondent, on Wednesday afternoon, the late Ahmad Azizi Hall of Amirkabir Public Library in Kermanshah hosted the introduction and review ceremony for the book ‘Traveler of Fire and Snow’; a cultural and spiritual event attended by a group of writers, cultural activists, librarians, and enthusiasts of Sacred Defense literature, dedicated to commemorating the memory of Martyr Saeed Ghahhari Saeed.

In this session, organized with the aim of promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom and introducing one of the prominent works in the field of Sacred Defense memoirs, the Director-General of Public Libraries of Kermanshah Province, referring to the role of written works in preserving and transmitting the oral history of Sacred Defense, said: “The endorsements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Sacred Defense books go beyond literary praise and appreciation; they carry deep cultural, social, and spiritual messages that call upon society to study, reflect, and uphold national and religious identity.”

He added that “these short notes have transformed Sacred Defense literature into a living foundation of ethical and human values.” He continued: “The Leader of the Revolution, by emphasizing the importance of recording the memories of martyrs and their families, has outlined a clear path for people of letters, which has resulted in the formation of a valuable part of the cultural memory of the Iranian nation.”

The Director-General of Public Libraries of Kermanshah Province further stated: “The Leader’s support for committed writers and works related to Sacred Defense has not only fostered the growth of resistance literature but also paved the way for the expansion of reading culture in society. These endorsements create a valuable bridge between thought, faith, and Iranian-Islamic culture, encouraging the young generation towards purposeful and committed study.”

Referring to the importance of introducing such works in public spaces and libraries, he expressed: “The book ‘Traveler of Fire and Snow’ is an influential narrative of the sacrifice and struggle of Martyr Saeed Ghahhari Saeed; a martyr whose name and memory are intertwined with the oppression and pride of the combatants of Islam, and today, by reading these works, the young generation can grasp the profound meanings of sacrifice and resistance.”
