Holding Book Reading Competitions and Student Campaigns
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), Mehdi Arian, referring to the Book Week programs in this province, said: The unveiling ceremony of the book “Wadi-e-Eshgh” (Valley of Love) is one of the prominent programs of the week, which will be held alongside book review sessions in cities focusing on local authors. Also, book-touring and visits to publishers and bookstores, along with appreciating the efforts of activists in this field, have a special place in the programs.
He added: The ceremony to honor provincial authors, “Pulse of the Homeland” book reading competitions in cooperation with the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, and holding book exhibitions in cities are also part of the programs for this period of Book Week.
Arian stated about the media section of these programs: Provincial authors will have an active presence in the province’s radio and television programs to strengthen the position of reading in society.
The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of North Khorasan concluded by emphasizing the role of urban beautification and virtual campaigns for students, saying: In cooperation with municipalities and the Ministry of Education, we will decorate the city space for Book Week and invite students to participate in these programs.
