Exhibition of 120 Urban Structures Dedicated to Books

Amirhossein Madadi, in an interview with a correspondent from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), referring to the programs of the Tehran Beautification Organization for the 33rd Book Week, stated: “According to the annual routine, special programs have been prepared for Book and Reading Week, the main focus of which is outdoor displays across the city; therefore, this year we are striving to implement these displays with a variety of book genres.”

He continued: “The main goal is to show that audiences with different tastes and ages can find their favorite books; from historical, philosophical, and literary books to fictional, educational, mythological, and other fields.”

Madadi, stating that approximately 120 urban structures have been designated for this occasion, said: “The organization will collaborate with the Iran Book and Literature House in this area, and we hope this collaboration can be effective in expanding and promoting the culture of reading, and that both entities play a useful role in this field.”

According to him, the organization’s priority in this project is the designs and ideas of the Book House and the introduction of various book genres; as mentioned earlier, the goal is to show that individuals with different tastes and age groups can find their favorite books in line with their preferences.”

Madadi, stating that this message emphasizes that the world of books opens up a broader and richer world for humans, said: “A point that needs to be mentioned about Book Week is that we hope the promotion of reading is not limited to calendar events such as Book Week or the International Book Fair. The goal is for a larger share of Tehran’s outdoor displays throughout the year to be dedicated to promoting the culture of study and reading.”
