The village of Giyouran Ghatoor now has a library

The remote village of Giyouran Ghatoor, located in a less-privileged region, has celebrated the establishment of its first public library, a significant step towards enhancing cultural and educational opportunities for its residents.

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials, community leaders, and residents who expressed their enthusiasm for the new cultural hub. The library is equipped with a collection of books spanning various genres, catering to all age groups.

The project was realized through the collaborative efforts of governmental cultural organizations, local philanthropists, and volunteer groups, demonstrating a collective commitment to fostering literacy and knowledge in underserved areas.

The head of the local cultural department emphasized that the library will serve not only as a place for reading but also as a community center for educational workshops, storytelling sessions for children, and cultural events, aiming to become a vibrant intellectual space.

The establishment of this library in Giyouran Ghatoor is part of a broader national initiative to expand access to books and libraries in rural and remote regions, ensuring that all citizens have opportunities for learning and intellectual development.
