Bahabad Mobile Library; A Step Towards Spreading Knowledge in Deprived Areas

Bahabad – The head of Bahabad County’s Public Libraries Department announced the launch of a mobile library in the county, stating: ‘This initiative is a significant step towards expanding reading culture in deprived areas.’

Ibna, Mohammad Hossein Abbasi told Mehr reporter: ‘Given the dispersal of villages and difficult access to fixed libraries in some areas, the Bahabad mobile library project has started to provide cultural services and promote reading in remote areas.’

He added: ‘In the first phase, this mobile library will provide services to 9 villages and settlements, offering new books and resources to residents every week. These services include lending books, holding reading sessions, and storytelling for children.’

Abbasi emphasized the public’s welcoming of the plan, stating: ‘We strive to increase service coverage by expanding the number of villages and enriching the mobile library’s resources, thereby fostering intellectual and cultural growth for all segments of society.’
