Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Yazd: Holding a book exhibition plays an important role in development.

Yazd – IRNA – The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Yazd Province considered the holding of book exhibitions as one of the important components in developing the culture of reading and general societal growth.

Mohsen Rastegari added: “Book exhibitions are suitable opportunities to introduce new works, exchange ideas, and familiarize people with various publishers and authors.”

Referring to the importance of promoting reading culture among the younger generation, he stated: “Planning for the active participation of students in book exhibitions is one of the priorities of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance.”

Rastegari emphasized: “Supporting local publishers and facilitating their presence in exhibitions can significantly contribute to the dynamism of the province’s publishing industry.”

He also pointed to the role of public libraries in promoting reading culture and said: “Joint cooperation with libraries to hold cultural events related to books is among the future plans.”
