The Third Meeting of the Public Library Association of Ivanki Section Was Held

According to a report by Khabar Online news agency in Semnan province, the third meeting of the Public Libraries Association of the Ivanki section was held, presided over by Hojatollah Kermani, the district governor of Ivanki, and attended by individual and legal members at the district office.

At the beginning of this meeting, Hojatollah Kermani, the district governor of Ivanki, pointed to the importance and status of books and reading, stating: One of the ways to attract youth and teenagers to the library is to organize engaging and diverse cultural programs.

He added: It is necessary to equip public libraries with books needed by various segments of the population, especially students, university students, and researchers.

The district governor of Ivanki, emphasizing the need to promote the culture of reading in society, said: Donating books to the library is one of the ways to promote the culture of reading in society and paves the way for improving cultural indicators.

Following the meeting, Mohammadreza Eslami, the head of the Ivanki Public Library, presented a report on the library’s status and the programs that have been implemented.

At the end of the meeting, topics such as organizing cultural programs, advertising and information dissemination, following up on the municipality’s half-percent share, attracting benefactors, and other issues were discussed and opinions were exchanged.
