Accabadora at Iranian bookstores
TEHRAN – Italian author Michela Murgia’s acclaimed novel “Accabadora” has recently been published in Persian, making it available at Iranian bookstores.
The Persian rendition was translated by Marjan Volkan-Shahr from the original Italian. Hermes Publications is responsible for bringing this work to Iranian readers.
“Accabadora,” initially published in 2009, gained significant literary recognition, winning both the Dessi Award and the prestigious SuperMondello Prize in 2010.
Michela Murgia, a prominent figure known not only for her literary contributions but also for her activism and political engagement, passed away in August 2023 at the age of 49 after a battle with kidney cancer.
