North Khorasan Book Fair: A Reconnection and Reconciliation of People with Books

The Director-General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of North Khorasan Province stated that the main goal of holding the book fair in this province was to create an opportunity for people to reconnect with books and promote a reading culture. The exhibition, which was met with widespread public reception and participation from publishers across the country, was held for one week in Bojnord.

He added that more than 300 publishers participated in this cultural event, offering approximately 50,000 book titles. Special discounts and sideline programs such as literary sessions, book launches, and educational workshops for children and young adults were among the other attractions of the fair.

The reception for children’s and young adult books, as well as books related to local history and culture, was reported as significant. Organizing officials hope that this exhibition can play an effective role in increasing the per capita reading rate in the province.

The presence of provincial and national officials at the opening and closing ceremonies also underscored the importance of this cultural event.
