Epic Ceremony at Chamran University of Ahvaz; A Fresh Narrative of the Continuation of Spirit
AHVAZ – A ceremony titled “Epic Narrative of the Continuation of Spirit” was held at Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz to commemorate the martyrs of the imposed war and the martyrs of service, especially the late President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his companions. The event saw the participation of university officials, faculty members, students, and employees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Hamdollah Mohammadnejad, a faculty member of the university and author of the book “The Smell of Love,” which compiles memories of the martyr Jalil Shahni, emphasized that preserving the memory of martyrs is a societal duty. He stated, “The remembrance of martyrs and their legacy is a duty for all of us, especially in a university environment where young people and students are educated.”
Mohammadnejad highlighted the impact of such gatherings on inspiring the youth. “These ceremonies provide a fresh narrative of the continuation of spirit and serve as a source of motivation for students to follow the path of self-sacrifice and devotion,” he added.
He further elaborated on the process of writing “The Smell of Love,” explaining, “This book is a collection of vivid memories from the life of martyr Jalil Shahni, a great hero whose spirit of resistance and faith continues to inspire. My aim was to share these untold stories to introduce a new generation to the true essence of heroism and patriotism.”
The ceremony included eulogies, poetry readings, and a special segment dedicated to reflecting on the spiritual journey of the martyrs. Attendees were encouraged to engage with the themes of sacrifice and resilience, reinforcing the university’s commitment to cultural and revolutionary values.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge to continue the path of the martyrs and to uphold the values for which they sacrificed their lives, underscoring the role of literature and storytelling in preserving national heritage.
