ECO Cultural Institute Head Highlights Rumi’s Timeless Message of Love and Humanity
The enduring legacy of the legendary Persian poet Jalal al-Din Rumi was recently brought to the forefront during a special commemoration ceremony honoring both Rumi and his spiritual master, Shams Tabrizi. Speaking at the event, the head of the ECO Cultural Institute delivered a compelling address focusing on the timeless and universal messages woven into the fabric of Rumi’s immortal literary creations.
He pointed out that Rumi’s poetry transcends geographical and temporal boundaries by persistently addressing fundamental human themes such as profound love, inherent human dignity, social tolerance, the journey of self-discovery, and the sincere quest for ultimate truth. In an era often marked by division and rapid technological advancement devoid of spiritual grounding, these profound concepts are arguably more vital to humanity today than at any other point in history.
The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the power of literature and poetry to bridge cultural divides and foster mutual understanding among nations. By revisiting the spiritual and philosophical depths of Rumi’s works, attendees and cultural figures alike reaffirmed their commitment to promoting dialogue, peace, and human values through the rich heritage of classical Persian literature.
