An Unpublished Memoir of Martyr Zahedi When IRGC Forces and Officials Gathered During the War

Martyr Major General Commander Rahim Safavi, Senior Assistant and Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Armed Forces, recounted a lesser-heard memoir of Martyr Commander Mohammad Ali Zahedi in an interview with KhabarOnline yesterday.

Commander Safavi, recounting this memoir, said: Before Operation Valfajr 8, I sent Martyr Zahedi with Martyr Shoushtari and Martyr Kazemi to Arvand Kenar to gather intelligence from the operation area to gather intelligence. When they returned, we had a meeting, and all three operational commanders presented the information they had obtained.

Martyr Commander Zahedi, who had a spirit of combat and sacrifice and always strived to be on the front lines, had been wounded in Operation Karbala 4. He said in this meeting that he was not satisfied with the situation in Arvandkenar.

This statement by Martyr Commander Zahedi strengthened my morale for Operation Valfajr 8, indicating that we must strive harder for success in this operation. He was the commander of the 14th Imam Hussein (AS) Division and was considered one of the young and prudent commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. May the memory of this exalted martyr be cherished.
