Specialized Meeting ‘Investigating Issues of the Book Publishing Industry’ Will Be Held

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the specialized meeting «Investigating Issues of the Book Publishing Industry» with the aim of examining structural challenges and issues of the book publishing industry, will be held on Tuesday, December 15th (25 Azar), concurrent with the start of Research Week, by the Nora Manadi Farhang Institute at the Majd Scientific and Cultural Complex.

In this meeting, the research report «Issues of Iran’s Book Industry» will be presented by Zeynab Zeinaldini, researcher and author of this report. This report has been prepared by the Namafar Data Analysis and Policy Research Group and is based on data, official statistics, and field analyses of the state of the book industry in Iran.

Seyed Abbas Hosseininik, researcher of intellectual property rights and manager of Majd Publications, Ali Mohammadpour, board member of the Content Production and Publishing Union in virtual space and CEO of Dani Public Knowledge Network Institute, and Sareh Goodarzi (specialized journalist in print and publishing), will present their expert views on the findings of this research report as commentators.

Also in the discussion part of this meeting, veterans and activists of the publishing industry will engage in specialized dialogue surrounding the issues raised in the report; a dialogue held with the aim of exchanging experience, analyzing challenges, and reviewing practical solutions for improving the state of the publishing industry.
