Kamran Fani departs for his eternal home

According to a report by the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), today (December 15), the farewell ceremony for Kamran Fani, the cultured researcher who dedicated his life fully to culture, authorship, and translation, was held hosted by the National Archives and Library Organization.

The ceremony was attended by Niknam Hosseinpour, Head of the Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Mohammad Reza Shafiei Kadkani; Aliashraf Sadeghi; Mohammad Jafar Yahaghi; Jaleh Amouzegar; Hassan Anvari; Hossein Ma’soumi Hamedani; Abdolkarim Jarabzehdar, Manager of Asatir Publishing; Ali Ravaghi; Masoud Jafari Jazi; Mahmoud Fotouhi; Abbas Akhoundi, Former Minister of Roads and Urban Development; Akbar Irani, Head of the Written Heritage Institute; Ali Bahramian, Deputy of the Great Islamic Encyclopaedia; Gholamreza Amirkhan, Head of the National Archives and Library Organization; Hamed Zare’, Editor-in-Chief of IBNA; Azadeh Nazarboland, Secretary-General of the Public Libraries Institution; Salman Saket; Javad Jahanbakhsh. Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, Secretary of the Academy of Persian Literature; Mostafa Aasi; Soheil Mahmoudi; Gholamreza Khaki; Omid Tabibzadeh and Mehdi Fadaei, Former Head of the National Library were present.

In this ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Miri performed prayers over Kamran Fani’s body, and the body of this researcher and prominent bibliographer was moved towards the burial site.
