Kerman International Book Exhibition Starts on December 18th

According to Khabaronline News Agency; Hossein Eshaghi, Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman Province, announced the holding of the 19th Kerman International Book Exhibition from December 18th to December 24th in the city’s Culture and Art Hall.

He announced the exhibition hours from 9 AM to 9 PM and added: The holding of the 19th International Book Exhibition of Kerman Province was a public demand from Kerman families and cultural figures, which is being held after a 6-year hiatus.

Referring to the 10% exhibition discount and the elimination of the operating bank, Eshaghi announced the allocation of a 200,000 toman subsidy for each national ID code and added: Purchasing from the exhibition is possible both in person and online.

He stated: More than 335 domestic and foreign publishers are participating in this exhibition with over 20,000 titles, which include 15,000 Persian titles and 5,000 foreign titles; the monetary value of the exhibition’s books amounts to over 15 billion tomans; the exhibition is not booth-centric.

The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman Province stated: The book exhibition should not only be a sales event but also create a space for dialogue among different cultural and artistic groups; four guests from Tajikistan, Armenia, and Lebanon will also be present at the exhibition.

He added: Special sections for ‘Haj Qasem’ and ‘International’ are distinguishing features of this year’s festival compared to previous ones; the children and young adults section has also been specially included in the book exhibition.
