The 24th issue of the literary monthly “Roozhgar” was published in Ilam
According to the reporter of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Ilam, the new issue of the cultural, artistic, and literary monthly “Roozhgar” has been printed and published through the efforts of Mohammad Ali Ghasemi, a writer and poet from Ilam.
This issue includes a special feature on Mohammad Reza Rostampour, a poet and journalist, covering his literary and artistic career.
The new issue of Roozhgar monthly includes articles such as “The Philosophy of Mrs. Phenobarbital,” “From the Language of Wounds,” an exclusive interview with Rostampour, “About the book A Dagger Still Turning,” “Thought and Discovery of Poets,” and more.
The first issue of this monthly magazine was published in February 2024 (Bahman 1402) with works and articles from poets, writers, and researchers in the field of Kurdish and Persian culture and literature, and it has been published regularly and without interruption ever since. Ghasemi’s effort and determination in compiling content and managing this monthly magazine have made Roozhgar monthly achieve a suitable and influential position among writers, book lovers, and publishers, drawing attention from target communities.
Ghasemi, leveraging individual and group knowledge and experience, life experiences in literature and media, effective and extensive efforts, and his time managing the provincial artistic affairs, along with the cooperation of book and literature enthusiasts and the goodwill and popularity he enjoys, can publish a comprehensive, reference, and influential literary magazine in the fields of Persian and Kurdish for readers, ensuring its longevity.
Mohammad Ali Ghasemi, born in 1969 in Ilam, is considered one of the active and pioneering poets and writers of the province. He has published works in the forms of short stories, poetry, novels, resistance literature, Sacred Defense, and religious literature.
His novel “Aziz Boomi” was selected as the Book of the Year for the Sacred Defense, and his poetry collection “Inspired by Love” won first place and the International Award of Honour for Hussaini devotion.
His published books include: “From the Throat of a Flower and a Bullet” (progressive resistance poetry), “Inspired by Love” (Ashura ghazals), “Bou and Mahshin” (story), “The Drums are Beating” (Mehran in the war), “The Life of the Cypress,” “In Praise of Ignorance” (Faragah poetry), “Complete Divan of Shakeh and Khan Mansour” (collection and correction), “Romantic Reports” (poetry collection), “The Taste of God” (long story about martyr Shiroudi’s life), “Aziz Boomi,” “The Mystery of Mami” (memories related to Sardar Shahid Abbas Mami based on accounts from family, friends, commanders, and comrades), “The Name of All the Slain is Yahya” (Sacred Defense short story), “Hat” (Faragah novel), “Memories of the Memorial” (memories of Sardar Shahid Yadegar Omidi, commander of operations intelligence for the 11th Amir al-Momineen Division (PBUH), based on accounts from family, wife, friends, and comrades), “A Song of Help” (biographical story), “The Record of Hunter Sa’adat” (memorial for Sardar Shahid Kazem Fathizadeh), “The Years Without a Brother” (oral history of the Sacred Defense as narrated by Sardar Abdollah Mousabeygi, one of the commanders during the Sacred Defense), “The Hunter of Ear Cutters” (oral history of the Sacred Defense), and others.
