A book for teaching social norms to children
According to a reporter from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), “That Thing,” written by Simon Patak, illustrated by Daniel Igneus, and translated by Razi Hirmandi, has recently been made available by Mehrsa Publications for children aged four to eight. Its goal is to teach social norms, interpersonal relationships, effective communication, acceptance of differences, and to increase social intelligence.
A section of the book reads: “One day, That Thing falls from the sky, and four strangers encounter it. But what is That Thing? Whose is it? What does it do? Is it useful to anyone at all?” This book is a story about thinking and paying attention, the tale of friendships, and a subtle, multi-layered interpretation of the search for meaning in modern life.
Mehrsa Publications recently released this book, translated by Razi Hirmandi, in 32 pages for 89,000 Tomans.
