2 Books Unveiled in Aradan

According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Garmsar, on Saturday afternoon, a meeting of the Public Libraries Association of Aradan county was held at the Aradan County Governorate, attended by the county governor, the Director General of Public Libraries of Semnan Province, and provincial and county officials.

In this meeting, which was also attended by officials from the Islamic Guidance and Public Libraries departments of Aradan county, two books, the result of the efforts of local authors of this county, were unveiled, and the authors of these books were appreciated.

‘Risk Management’ written by Fatemeh Ghanbari and ‘Entrepreneurship in Students’ written by Meysam Samiei were the books unveiled at this meeting, and their authors were also appreciated.

The Director General of Public Libraries of Semnan Province, referring to the necessity of mobile libraries in Aradan and Garmsar counties, said: ‘Promoting cultural justice and distributing books among people to encourage reading are among the most important advantages that mobile libraries can create.’

Saeed Dehghanloo stated that increasing the level of reading, especially among children and teenagers in rural and less privileged areas, is another advantage that mobile libraries will provide. He added: ‘Aradan is one of the counties in Semnan province without a mobile library, and it is hoped that the officials of this county can allocate a bus or van for this purpose so that we can implement this plan in Aradan and its villages.’

He expressed that mobile libraries allow us to expand universal access to books. He also stated: ‘The growth of cultural and educational levels in the villages and deprived areas of Aradan county is one of the significant impacts of mobile libraries.’

The Governor of Aradan also stated at this meeting that the per capita reading rate in this county is in good condition, adding: ‘The regular deposit of half a percent of the municipality’s revenue to public libraries in this county is also in good condition.’

Reza Hassani stated that increasing the per capita reading rate by 10% in Aradan county has been targeted, and he expressed: ‘This requires a convergent approach among all executive and cultural bodies and those influencing society.’

The Head of Aradan Public Libraries also emphasized in a brief speech the necessity of cooperation from the Ministry of Education, as the largest family in Aradan, in promoting the culture of reading and book-reading. He said: ‘Through cooperation with the Ministry of Education, good joint initiatives can be undertaken to promote the culture of reading in this county.’
