‘Country Iran Should Not Taste the War’ Published in Hormozgan
As reported by the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, the book “Country Iran Should Not Taste the War,” a long Imam Reza-themed poem by Behzad Pudat, a writer, poet, researcher, and religious expert from Bandar Abbas, has entered the book market.
This work, illustrated by Ara Vanoush, was printed and published with the support of the Preservation of Works and Publication of Sacred Defense Values, and in cooperation with the Poetry and Literature Center of Razavi Service Canons of Hormozgan province.
In this book, the poet, with a long and Imam Reza-themed poem, addresses the recent imposed wars and the Sacred Defense of our land, wishing that Iran would not suffer from war, tension, insecurity, and unrest.
The introductory note of the book states: “This semi-long poem could have been a single poem among other poems in a collection, but it seemed to carry a message, a thought, and a wish within its heart and essence that made it special and unique among others.”
“In early Ordibehesht (April/May), when it was decided that this poem should be illustrated separately, it was not in our imagination that our beloved land, Iran, would be attacked by a brutal enemy and once again taste the bitterness of an imposed war.”
“We, whose gaze was always towards peace, had wished that ‘Country Iran Should Not Taste the War.’ But before this heartfelt wish and desire could be uttered and illustrated, the homeland became entangled in an unequal battle. Although we were not the initiators, the brave heroes and valiant soldiers of this land, alongside the noble and kind people of Iran, brought it to an end with empathy, unity, solidarity, and love.”
“What remained for us from the harm of this war is the grief of young martyrs, and what became a provision for the thought and wisdom of future generations was awareness and belief in our own strength. Our wish remains the same as before: that Iran should not taste the war, and that will only be realized with more empathy and cooperation and reliance on ourselves, for we will remain for this land.”
According to IBNA, the book “Country Iran Should Not Taste the War,” comprising 16 pages with illustrations, was released in a print run of 500 copies, on the topic of children’s and young adult poetry, in quarto size, priced at 285,000 Tomans, through the efforts of “Sumita Publications,” and has entered the book market.
