The book ‘Hafez and Free Will’ was published in Ilam.
According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Ilam, the author of the book ‘Hafez and Free Will,’ in four chapters, by selecting, reviewing, and analyzing poems by Hafez and focusing on topics such as prayer, intellect, advice, wine and taverns, guarding faith, praise and dispraise of contentment, covenant and promise, pronouns, lovers, and so on, has explored some of Hafez’s thoughts.
The author has briefly written in the introduction: “By studying Hafez’s Divan, we are not faced with a clear intellectual path that one can discern the middle or end from the beginning, unlike Naser Khosrow, who is mostly committed to his perpetual ideological thinking. The important point in Hafez’s Divan that distinguishes it from other literary divans is the intertwining of contradictory aspects of human existence and their preservation alongside each other, which is the greatest factor in Hafez’s success. In this work, I have tried as much as possible to put this diversity into writing and have mostly endeavored to take a multi-faceted look at Khajeh’s Divan; something beyond conventional interpretations. In this book, two important points need to be mentioned; first, in some parts of the content, we sometimes encounter Arabic or Shirazi verses, and it was necessary to provide their translation. Second, in the middle of the book, I have referred to several verses from the Holy Quran…”
