Donation of 12 thousand copies of books to 11 cultural centers of the country

According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Mashhad, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Jalal Hosseini, the head of the Libraries, Museums, and Document Center Organization of Astan Quds Razavi, stated: This initiative, an inherent duty of the holy shrine’s mobile and telephone library, aims to develop and improve infrastructure for promoting a reading culture and enhancing scientific and cultural metrics of relevant centers and institutions in Mashhad and other Iranian cities.

He added that these resources, comprising books on various subjects such as religious, literary, historical, psychology, and textbooks, were prepared and dispatched based on the specific requests of cultural and educational centers and their patrons.

Hosseini highlighted some of the 11 recipient centers, including Damghan Prison Library, Torbat-e Heydarieh Prison Library, Khodashah Village Library in Joghatay County, Razavi Service Centers in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, and Hazrat Asiyeh (SA) Elementary School in Robat Sang.

He also named other centers in Mashhad, such as Moallem Educational Institute, Fatemeh Zahra (SA) Educational Institute, Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) Educational Institute, Shahed Taktem Library, Beyt-ol-Zahra (SA) Hosseiniyeh Library, and Hazrat Zeinab (SA) School Library.

The head of the organization further revealed that, through the efforts of the mobile and telephone library, a total of 81,443 printed books have been sent to 64 centers nationwide, either as donations or long-term loans, from the beginning of the current year until the end of Aban.

Hosseini specified that out of the total books dispatched to cultural and educational centers, 14,798 copies were provided as long-term loans to eight centers.

He concluded by stating that mosques, libraries, cultural centers, educational and research institutions, welfare centers, and other eligible entities can receive donated or long-term loaned printed books from the mobile and telephone library by submitting a request letter and obtaining the organization’s approval.
