Awarding a First-Degree Artistic Certificate to a Lorestani Poet

According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Khorramabad, during Seyed Abbas Salehi’s visit to Lorestan and a meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province on Thursday afternoon, a first-degree artistic certificate in poetry was awarded to “Ramadan Parvardeh”.

Ramadan Parvardeh was born in Khorramabad in 1953. He began songwriting in his youth under the supervision of his uncle (Shokrollah Almasi), who was a famous songwriter and singer of authentic Lori music, and continued his artistic activities by creating works alongside many Lori singers.

This poet from Lorestan is familiar with the principles and rules of poetry, and his poetry originates from kindness, compassion, humanity, and love for people. To date, Parvardeh’s books “Gelal Tash”, “Lori Songs of Falak-ol-Aflak”, “Blood and Thirst”, “Incurable Wound”, and “Caravan Leader of Love” have been published.

The General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Lorestan held a commemorative ceremony in July 2023 titled “Elder Poet of Lorestan” to honor years of effort and dedication by this Lorestani poet in advancing Lorestan’s culture.

The meeting was attended by Ayyoub Dehghankar, advisor to the Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs; Niknam Hosseinpour, advisor to the Minister and head of the Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Culture; Seyed Saeed Sarabi, Director General of Provincial Affairs of the Ministry; the Governor of Lorestan; Azam Ravanshad, Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Lorestan; and a group of cultural figures from the province.

Seyed Abbas Salehi, on Thursday, during a meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader and Imam of Khorramabad’s Friday Prayer, while appreciating the efforts of the Lorestan Governor and the provincial officials, considered the existing convergence and unity in Lorestan as a valuable model for the country.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized: “This synergy among officials, Friday prayer leaders, and cultural institutions has accelerated the resolution of people’s issues and the advancement of the province’s developmental programs.”

Salehi, referring to President Dr. Pezeshkian’s approach to national empathy and cooperation, added: “The country faces major internal and external issues, and only through unity and synergy can these challenges be overcome. Provinces that lead in this path will accelerate the fulfillment of government promises.”

He further referred to the activities of the Public Culture Council of Lorestan and said: “This council, last year, by holding numerous meetings and approving effective resolutions, has solidified its position as a headquarters for solving the social issues of the province. Rectifying the deficiencies of the regulations and forming five specialized committees under the supervision of the Political and Security Deputy of the Governorate has smoothed the council’s activities, and its secretariat has also been empowered by strengthening its staff.”

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated that the Public Culture Council could be introduced as an exemplary model in the country, adding: “The cultural engineering map of the province has also provided an opportunity to create a shared vision and consensus among council members. If the capacities of public culture councils are properly utilized, a widespread social network for the cultural cohesion of the country can be created.”

In another part of his speech, Salehi highlighted the importance of the year 1447 Hijri, coinciding with the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH), and said: “This event, which has been formalized by the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the acceptance of the Organization of Islamic Conference, is a valuable opportunity to strengthen internal cohesion and relations within the Islamic world. Lorestan province, as one of the important provinces in the love of the Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl al-Bayt (AS), should present prominent programs in this regard that can be showcased nationally and internationally.”

He expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Lorestan Governor, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the province, and the members of the Public Culture Council, emphasizing the necessity of utilizing these capacities to elevate the cultural standing of Lorestan and the country.

Unity and Empathy, the Axis of Lorestan’s Development

The Governor of Lorestan, also at this meeting, emphasizing the role of national unity and consensus in advancing the province’s developmental programs, said: “All our actions must lead to alleviating the burdens from the people. In this regard, production and employment have been prioritized as the main indicators of Lorestan’s development.”

Seyed Saeed Shahrokhi, referring to the government’s strategy of national consensus and the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on empathy, added: “In Lorestan, this consensus is established comprehensively and fully under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Leader, and today we witness the cooperation of all pillars of the system in the province.”

He stated: “The province’s policy is based on program-orientation, selecting worthy individuals for critical responsibilities, and moving in the path of unity and empathy.”

He added: “Attention to production and creating job opportunities to improve people’s living standards, strengthening a people-centered approach, and utilizing social capacities as the province’s greatest asset are among the province’s priorities.”

He added: “Consultative assemblies have been formed in all counties for organized public participation in decision-making, and the doors of the Governorate, municipalities, and administrative bodies are open to the people to strengthen direct communication.”

The Governor of Lorestan, while thanking the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the representative of the Supreme Leader for their cooperation, emphasized that the path of the province’s development will continue based on unity, consensus, and empathy, and the ultimate goal of all programs is to address the people’s concerns.
