Three Cultural Events Held in Andika
Sara Arzani Birgani _ Khabaronline Khuzestan _ Andika. The Andika County Governorate Hall hosted a ceremony commemorating Book and Reading Week. This event, organized by the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the county, was attended by Governor Hossein Kiani, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Kambal Bouri (Imam Jomeh), Ali Mohammadpour (Head of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Ms. Khadri (Head of the Public Libraries Institution), Ms. Badreh (Head of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults), and the heads of the Central and Chelo districts. It comprised three main programs.
In the first part of this program, librarians from Andika County’s public libraries, who have played a significant role in promoting a culture of reading and increasing public knowledge, were honored with plaques and gifts. This symbolic act was a recognition of the tireless efforts of this cultural group and an endeavor to elevate the status of librarianship in the region.
The second part of the program was dedicated to visiting the honorable families of martyrs. This cordial visit highlighted the unbreakable link between the culture of books and reading with the noble values of sacrifice and martyrdom, emphasizing the promotion of a culture of resistance and the remembrance of martyrs through reading and awareness-building.
The third part involved the unveiling of the newly published book “Flight Without Wings,” penned by the diligent author, Ms. Mohebbi. This book, unveiled in the presence of the author and officials, heralds the emergence of literary talents in the Andika region and marks a turning point in the field of local content production.
The organization of such cohesive programs by the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Andika County, hosted by the Governorate, is an effective step towards promoting a culture of reading, honoring those active in the field of books, and introducing new works to the community of readers, promising more fruitful days for the book and culture sector in this land.
