Hand-to-Hand, a Book Exchange Event in Keshavarz Boulevard
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the “Hand-to-Hand” project will be held on Thursday (November 19th) at 3 PM in Keshavarz Boulevard, coinciding with Book Week. Citizens can exchange their read books with one another.
This program provides an opportunity for citizens’ read books to come out of personal libraries, allowing others to read them. One aspect of this event is the exchange of textbooks and supplementary books. When a student completes a grade level, they may no longer need that book.
However, another student studying at that grade level might need the same book. Participating in this event, in addition to its economic benefits for citizens, will also benefit the environment by saving paper consumption. It also provides an opportunity for discussion about books.
Given the necessity of better publicizing this event, citizens are invited to participate in the “Hand-to-Hand” virtual campaign. Completing the questionnaire at form.farhangsara.ir/dastbedast also provides an opportunity for citizens to talk about the books they are bringing to this event.
In this campaign, those interested in books and reading invite each other to participate in the event via virtual spaces. Participants in the campaign can share their photos and videos with the hashtag #دست_به_دست_کتاب (Hand_to_Hand_Book) in virtual spaces. Those interested in attending this public program can refer to the Keshavarz Boulevard pedestrian walkway, between Palestine Street and Naderi Street.
