Educational Course on ‘Smartification of the Book Publishing Ecosystem 2026’ Will Be Held
Kazem Armanpour, in an interview with the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), referring to the importance of keeping publishers’ knowledge up-to-date, stated: ‘Professional training for publishers and increasing their awareness of daily developments is the most effective strategy for bringing about change in the current state of the publishing industry.’
He added that working in the publishing industry is not possible without mastering new skills and recognizing technological tools: ‘A publisher who is not familiar with new concepts such as futurism, artificial intelligence, ecosystem systematization, originality in content production, and branding will gradually be sidelined from competition in the publishing market. Continuous training for publishers is not just an advantage, but a necessity for survival and growth in the new publishing ecosystem.’
Armanpour, referring to recent years’ developments in the field of books and scientific content, said: ‘The publishing industry has been heavily influenced by new technologies in recent years. Transformation in this industry is not possible without upgrading the skills and knowledge of publishing managers and specialized personnel. Structured training helps publishers make more accurate decisions, manage costs, better understand their target market, and utilize smart tools for book production, distribution, and sales; therefore, investing in publishers’ training is, in fact, an investment in the future of the country’s publishing.’
