According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Ilam, on the third day of Book Week and during the ‘On the Wings of Books’ ceremony, the book ‘Sweet Salt’ by author and journalist Morteza Hatami was unveiled in the cinema hall of the Child Martyrs Complex of the Ilam Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

In this ceremony, Fatemeh Rastegar, Director General of the Provincial Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, while congratulating Book Week, said: ‘Books and reading are the most important issue, effort, and cultural activity of trainers and experts in the provincial Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, which is implemented for child and adolescent members.’

She continued: ‘All activities carried out by trainers are based on books, and accustoming children and adolescents to books and reading and strengthening literary enjoyment among members are considered among the duties of the institute’s trainers.’

Subsequently, Morteza Hatami, author and journalist, emphasized the standard quality of the institute’s books, stating: ‘The works and books published by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults publishing house possess content, technical, and visual standards and are trusted by parents and educational guardians.’

He added: ‘The book ‘Sweet Salt’ is a re-creation of one of the tales from the book Jame’ al-Hikayat wa Lawame’ al-Rawaiat by Mohammad Oufi, one of the writers of past centuries, which addresses the topic of ‘salt-recognition’ (gratitude/loyalty) and adherence to Iranian, ethical, cultural beliefs, human and spiritual values.’

In this ceremony, with the presence of the Director General of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, deputies, experts, and a group of writers, poets, literary, cultural, and publishing figures, the book ‘Sweet Salt’ was unveiled.

According to IBNA; the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults publishing house has printed and published the book ‘Sweet Salt’ by Morteza Hatami, with illustrations by Negar Orang, for young adult audiences (12+) in 36 pages, with a print run of 3500 copies in two editions, priced at 110,000 Tomans.
