To achieve the collective dream of Zayandeh Rood, we need artistic works

These days, as the “Zayandeh Rood” has breathed again, it is necessary to express the dimensions of this issue to the people in the form of artistic and literary works so that everyone participates in its preservation and sustainability. In this path, the role of writers, poets, painters, artists, etc., is very prominent, and artistic and literary products must be created in this field to generate a movement.

Hamed Keikhosravi, a cultural activist in Isfahan province, told IBNA: The issue of “Zayandeh Rood” and its revival is an important event that requires the attention and participation of all people and institutions, and in this regard, artists can be very effective in its realization. He continued: It seems that the best solution for the permanence and sustainability of Zayandeh Rood and its revival is to turn this issue into a collective and popular demand, and in this regard, the language of art can be utilized.

Keikhosravi stated that we need artistic works to achieve the collective dream regarding Zayandeh Rood, adding: In this regard, artists, writers, and poets must take steps by producing artistic works, especially in the field of books, to raise awareness and increase public participation. He emphasized: When an event becomes a public demand and concern, it will certainly reach a conclusion faster with the collective participation of the people, and artistic works, especially literary works, can help the permanence and continuation of this public demand.

This cultural activist in Isfahan explained: “Zayandeh Rood” is the symbol and identity of Isfahan, and in this way, artistic and literary works can help this important event remain in the minds and memories of the people. According to him, the production of artistic works can be an influential lever in creating this public concern. He stated: The more people turn this issue into a public demand, the more serious solutions officials will consider for it, and if awareness is raised through artistic and literary works, we will definitely achieve the desired result sooner.

Keikhosravi reminded: The media can also play an important role in creating this public demand for Zayandeh Rood by interviewing artists and writers.

It is worth mentioning; “Zayandeh Rood” is one of the most abundant rivers on the central plateau of Iran, originating from the central Zagros Mountains and flowing into Gavkhouni, and is one of Iran’s most important permanent rivers, whose drought in recent years had become one of the main concerns of the people of Isfahan.
