Specialized Exhibition ‘Children’s and Youth Books’ Opened in Qazvin

According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Qazvin, in a ceremony held today, Saturday, at the Qazvin Intellectual Development Institute, Seyed Aliakbar Mousavi, Director-General of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults of Qazvin Province, announced the introduction and display of over 50,000 books and educational games at this exhibition. He also reported the presence of reputable publishers including Sayeh Gostar, Mehrgan Danesh, Park, Dr. Seen, Azarmidokht, Sham’avid, and Panjom Ordibehesht from Qazvin Province, as well as Fanous Danesh and Kanoon publishers from Tehran Province.

Mousavi, referring to the slogan ‘Let’s Read for Iran,’ added: ‘The Institute has strived, through extensive public awareness campaigns across the province and cooperation with the General Directorate of Education, to provide greater access for audiences in less-privileged areas of the province. Programs in this regard have also been planned in cultural and artistic centers throughout the province.’

The Director-General of the Qazvin Intellectual Development Institute also reported on the cooperation of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the General Directorate of Education, IRIB (Voice and Vision of the Islamic Republic of Iran), and the Qazvin Cultural Publishers Association in holding this exhibition. He introduced theatrical performances by the Institute’s Theater House, a scientific program at the Astronomy House, science and biology workshops, and rhythm and game performances as side programs for the exhibition, specifically for students.

Creating an opportunity for children to choose ‘suitable books’ by offering a variety of subjects and titles, and fostering a greater familiarity with books among families, were among other goals that the Institute’s Director-General mentioned for organizing this exhibition.

Mousavi stated that the exhibition will be open to visitors every day from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM until November 20th. He invited all families, educators, and others to visit the exhibition and provide an opportunity for the children and young adults of the province to become familiar with the importance of books and develop a bond with them.
