A war in which Tehran became the frontline of battle / News that shared two things; severe explosion and hearing / Unveiling of the book ‘Dark Calendar’

According to Khabar Online news agency, quoting the public relations of Andisheh Cultural Center, the unveiling ceremony of the book “Dark Calendar; Daily notes of the twelve-day war between Israel and Iran” written by Meysam Amiri will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 3 PM at Andisheh Cultural Center.

Esmail Baghaei, Deputy Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mohammad Reza Norouzpour, Deputy for Media and Propaganda Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, are among the special guests of this event. Alongside Javad Mogouei, a documentary filmmaker, and Meysam Amiri, the author of the book, they will discuss the dimensions of this work.

The book “Dark Calendar,” which has recently been published, narrates this unfair war in the form of daily notes and interviews with leaders and commanders; a war in which Tehran is introduced for the first time as the frontline of battle. In this work, the author, with a documentary, analytical, and sometimes poetic perspective, addresses the human experience of war, the world’s silence, and the media’s reflection of the crisis.

A section from the back cover of the book states:

“For the first time, Tehran became the frontline of the Iranians’ war. Israel attacks when we are asleep. Severe explosion, successive explosions. The news is common in two things; severe explosion, hearing. This war is first heard and then seen. In most news, the verbs are in the form of ‘being heard,’ and this is a sign of Israel’s aggression… We in Iran had no intention of war that we would ‘see’ it, so we ‘heard’ the war.

The essence of war is black and dark. No one likes it, but sometimes war knocks on one’s door, and one should not run from it, especially such a brutal attack… The book was named ‘Dark Calendar’ for two reasons; one because our nest, Iran, was attacked, and the other because the world practically remained silent against the attack of two nuclear armies on our country. Meysam Amiri has narrated those twelve dark and historical days in this book.”

At the end of the ceremony, the author will be honored, and copies of the work will be made available to enthusiasts for the first time. The event will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 3 PM, at the assembly hall of Andisheh Cultural Center, located on Shariati Street, before Seyyed Khandan Bridge, Shahid Monfared Niaki Park. Attendance is free for all interested individuals.
