Major Book Reading Competition Started in Semnan

According to the correspondent of Iran’s Book News Agency (IBNA) in Semnan, the ‘We Read Together’ major book reading competition, commemorating Book and Reading Week, commenced today across Semnan province in three categories: children, teenagers and youth, and adults.

The book ‘Hadi’s Dad’ is designated for the children’s section, ‘Kal Kal’ for the youth and teenager section, and ‘The Third Parent’ for the adults and parents section in this book reading competition.

A total of three million Tomans in cash prizes will be awarded to three main winners in each section, with a total of nine million Tomans for the entire event. The deadline for participation in this competition is the 7th of Azar 1404 (approximately late November/early December 2025). The draw and announcement of results will be on the 20th of Azar, coinciding with the birthday of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH).

The specialized Book and Reading Center of Razavi Province of Semnan, a subsidiary of the Razavi Khademyaran Center of this province, is organizing this event during Book and Reading Week.

Hassan Sa’doddin, the director of the Razavi Service Center of Semnan Province, told an IBNA correspondent in Semnan that the goal of this event is to promote the culture of reading and book-reading, and specifically, to familiarize families with useful books in the field of spiritual growth and child upbringing.

Sa’doddin stated that fortunately, the Razavi Khademyaran Center of Semnan Province has specialized centers in various cultural, social, judicial, legal, economic, and employment fields. He added: ‘One of the specialized centers we have in Semnan province, which has been very well received, is the specialized Book and Reading Center that carries out promotional activities in the field of reading.’

He added that this center organizes promotional programs in the field of books and reading throughout the year, stating: ‘Our goal is to increase families’ awareness of the importance and benefits of reading.’
