Issuance of Unique ID for Printing Houses Without National Registration; New Requirement of the Ministry of Guidance

Abbas Zare, Director General of the Printing Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in an interview with a correspondent from Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), referring to the implementation of the unique ID issuance process, stated: With the aim of creating a unified procedure and organizing the activities of printing units in the country, it is necessary for printing houses lacking a ‘Unique ID’ to refer to the comprehensive printing system and the National Licensing Portal.

He continued: In this regard, provincial general directorates, in addition to informing printing units, must coordinate with county offices to accelerate the process of issuing unique IDs for printing houses lacking IDs at the provincial level.

Zare, stating that educational videos on how to register existing printing houses in the system have been prepared by the Printing Affairs Office and the registration steps are clearly accessible to printing units, said: We have fully explained this issue in a letter addressed to the Director Generals of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the provinces, and the letter has been sent to the provinces.

He stated that the goal of implementing the plan is to create a comprehensive database of the country’s printing houses, adding: Facilitating supervision and issuing licenses, standardizing the activities of printing units, and preventing identity-less and unsupported legal activities are among the most important goals of this plan.

Zare, referring to the registration steps in the system, added: The process of registration and obtaining a unique ID is such that printing house owners must first go to the comprehensive printing system at irprint.farhang.gov.ir, after completing the existing printing house registration form and after application in the provincial general directorate and their approval, the unique ID will be registered in the National Licensing Portal, and then the unique ID will be issued by the Printing Affairs Office.

According to IBNA, it is planned that in the near future, all administrative processes such as facilities, insurance, taxes, customs, and other administrative matters will only be possible by presenting the unique ID.
